Watch author, psychologist, and consultant Dr. Christopher Willard in this training where he’ll share fun, creative ways to teach mindfulness. Be prepared for an experiential training where you'll practice mindfulness techniques including awareness, movement, games, play, and creative/expressive activities that can be practised by young people and adults alike.
You’ll learn:
- Proven techniques for depression, ADHD, anxiety, anger, acting out, trauma, and more
- Mood boosters for depression such as mindful walking, yoga, and qi-gong
- Playful “Alphabreaths” to self-regulate emotions, attention, and behaviour
- Simple practices for ADHD, executive function and impulse control disorders: “the mindful SEAT” “mindful play and games” “mindful music”, and more
- Skills to soothe trauma and anxiety: “seeking stillness,” “touchpoints,” and “four elements” practices will be taught and practised as a group
- Skills that build emotional and social intelligence: mindfulness of music, listening and body awareness exercises
